The Soft Rings Diffusion Filters feature concentric rings that are cast into the glass, which allow the contrast level to remain unchanged as the diffusion increases. For best performance we recommend using apertures of f/5.6 to f/8. Available individually or as a set of three in a fabric pouch.

Black Dot Texture Screens
The Black Dot Texture Screens are handcrafted, and sold only as a complete set of five filters in a wood storage box. Patented by Harrison & Harrison, these glass filters soften images without the whitish veil, retaining contrast as the degree of diffusion increases. An exposure compensation of approximately on stop is required for each filter, regardless of the degree of diffusion.
Diffusion Filters
The degree of diffusion you will achieve with any diffusion filter can be affected by image size, exposure and lighting contrast. It is best to have a range of diffusion filters available to obtain the effects you desire, despite these variables.

As with any new piece of photographic equipment, filters should be thoroughly tested under different conditions, with each lens and at various apertures to determine the results you can expect in each situation. Keeping good records will assure predictable results every time they are used.

Coral Filters
The Lindahl Coral Filter (81B) provides a warming effect that works great in shade or with backlit subjects. Another version is available with a slight soft focus to accomplish two effects in one filter. Sold as a set in a protective fabric pouch.

Acrylic Soft Filters
The Lindahl Soft Filter series is an economical line of durable acrylic filters. The Soft Lite Filter is subtle yet effective when minor diffusion is required. Increasingly greater diffusion is available with the Soft #1 and Soft #2 options. All are available individually or in sets.
